Midlife Crisis Can Happen to Anyone Are you one of those people in the middle years or middle age beginning to think self-doubt, and start feeling dramatic changes and realisation that life is more than half way over? That you are in the immediacy of old age? Then you are now experiencing a midlife crisis. A midlife crisis in the middle aged can also be cause by any significant events that may cause psychological anxiety or depression. It may not be a pleasant experience but is normal and can happen to anyone. If you are experiencing a midlife trouble you can help yourself by making positive changes, and make a difference and live happily. Most people who are affected by this midlife crisis are people in between 35-55 years old, but midlife crisis can affect men and women differently. There are several characteristics of midlife crisis:

 1. Undefined target or goal 
 2. Remorse for goals not accomplished 
 3. Fear of embarrassment among successful colleagues 
 4. Strong desire to look young 
 5. Spending time alone or with certain peers 

There are many causes of midlife crisis, physical changes, and problems. According to research some manifestations that a person is experiencing a midlife crisis are abuse of alcohol, buying expensive or unusual things like clothing, gadgets, etc. Develops sudden interests in sports, tattoos, piercing and any other physical activities they believe can help delay aging. People experiencing midlife crisis pay so much attention to physical appearance like wearing clothes to look young. Having an affair with someone younger their age, unexplained loneliness, as well as the realisation of gradual fading of beauty and energy, is usually the effects of marital dissatisfaction. 

Midlife crisis is not a thing to worry about, instead, take it as the best time for reflection and reassessment. Think of it as an important stage in your life to start making positive changes and create a happier environment to live happily with your family around. Focus on the things you can do, instead of worrying too much on the things that won't help you. Think of it as the new chapter of your life to have more freedom and stop wasting your time.
