Every time I go to the mall I always look for girls accessories like shoes, bags, fashion jewelries etc. I am not particular with brands as long as I like the design, the color, and I am comfortable with it...I thought of buying something for myself this Christmas and I saw a bag which caught my attention. It's a black "DONATI" bag. It has three compartments which I like and I can freely organized important stuff inside. The next stop was shoes. Oh! how I love shoes and I guess every woman does. Today is December 8, 2009 the feast of the Immaculate Concepcion. I requested my son Ian who is a first year college taking up BS in Nursing to write a short post in commemorating this day. He decided to share with us a little background about Immaculate Conception.


According to the church dogma, the conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is without any stain ("macula" in Latin) of original sin. The dogma states that from the first moment of her existence, she was preserved by God from the lack of sanctifying grace that afflicts mankind, and that she was instead filled with divine grace. It is further believed that she lived a life completely free from sin.

In Roman Catholic church, the solemnity of the Immaculate Concepcion is a Holy Day of Obligation. It is a public holiday in some countries where Roman Catholicism is predominantly like Italy. In the Philippines although it is not a holiday, most of Catholics schools makes it almost a holiday.

Bad breath is a serious problem. It even lessens confidence and one of the most common problem among some people. Others are aware that they have it while others pretend or maybe they are not conscious about it. I have learned that "Bad breath" are caused by many factors especially from the food we eat, our daily hygiene and our general health.

We should not forget to brush our teeth and include our tongue when brushing, because this is where the odor-causing bacteria comes from. Another alternative for bad breath is to gargle with mouthwash which is widely available in the supermarkets and pharmacies. For quick fix you can chew a sugar-free gum or consider a fresh mint leaves.

Five months ago we bought two Rabbits colored brown and white as our pet...actually my son Aaron requested it. After 2 months the other one with a color white died. Now we are planning to buy another, maybe soon or during holidays for us to have enough time to look for one. Having a pet entails time and effort. You have to devote some time for your pet everyday. We cannot avoid any problem to arise, everybody is experiencing it. But, whatever level, or degree a problem might be we must face it squarely with courage because it's part of our life. I have observed some people when facing with difficulties they tend to evade from the situation and living a life full of pretense. With this you only prolonging the agony. It's better to face every problem honestly and with dignity. Finding solutions to every difficulties and problems is not easy sometimes. But, we should always remember: If there is life, there is hope. Let us not loose our hope, let us be brave and and ask guidance from above and trust your family. I believed when problems arise the only things that keep us going is our faith and family.

I myself have gone through a lot and experienced rainy days but I can proudly say had survived from it all. I can relate to a song by Barry Manilow entitled: I Made It Through The Rain. Every time I hear the song it always made me smile. Allow me to share the lyrics of the song.
