Last week was a busy day for me, attending important activities like my kids enrollment, buying school stuff ,and some personal matters to attend to...My two little gentlemen are excited to go back to school. They missed their classmates and some teachers. The kids confessed they had a great summer vacation this year for they've learned to swim and they were circumcised, its a rewarding experience for them. Although our dream summer vacation in another place did not came true, we make sure to spend quality time everyday together enjoying each others company.
It's school time again! Summer is over... This morning Aaron and Khrys are excited for the first day of their classes. But for newcomers I assume they feel nervous or a little bit scared on the first day of school especially the preschoolers, because of all the new things. My children went through this situation before. Moms should not worry because little by little kids learn to appreciate and adopt to their new environment. This are normal for a newcomer just guide and support your kids.
I will be missing my 2 kids Aaron and Khrys today. My other son who is also enrolled in college now their classes will commence next week June 8. Just like my two graders, my eldest son is also excited to his first day in school as a college student. My husband and I share the same feelings for him. We are also excited to hear from him his experiences on the first day of classes in the University. As parents to three wonderful children we are very happy and very proud of them. We are glad for we see in them the passion and determination to study and finish school. I hope and pray that they will endure all the harships, trials and challenges as they move on to the next ladder of their education.
Our round dining table occupies a lot of space i've been thinking of replacing it considering our space is not that big. Lately I went to appliance stores to window shop and compare prices. There are many items to choose from- like wooden tables , metals with top glass. It took a while before me and my husband decide on what style, color and shape to choose. After a few weeks we came up with a decision on what type of dining table is appropriate for us.
Finally, we settle for a 6 seater square top glass with white seat cover for the chairs. White is very neat, and it will be easy for me to choose colors for placemat to match it. It was delivered the other day...Yehey! a new dining table for us!
We buy basic things for our cooking needs. But little did we know its other uses which helps us especially mothers like me in saving my expenses at home when it comes to my laundry.Finding ways to make use of what we have will somehow save a little money. My boys are very active they don’t mind when their clothes are being stained. As a mother I don’t like seeing it because it looks dirty. My friend disclosed to me that Vinegar is very useful and effective in removing stains. It’s nice to share ideas and tips useful to others too.Today I would like to share it .I hope these tips will help everybody especially moms like me. Stains comes in different forms and degree please take note of the following.
In removing Tomato Stains and Sugar-based stains saturate the stain with vinegar, soak it then wash
Coffee/ Tea Stains flush the area with vinegar, rinse and repeat as needed depending on the degree of stain, then wash.
Wine Stains Saturate the stain in vinegar, and allow it to stand for several minutes. Then, rinse with water, and repeat the process, if needed. Wash immediately after.
Mustard Stains Apply vinegar to the stain, soak. Then, spot treat with a bit of laundry detergent, and wash.
Remove Grease Soak the stain in undiluted white vinegar. Then, wash.
Sweat Stains Pour vinegar over the sweat stain. Then rub coarse salt into the stain (table salt will work if it's all you have). Place the garment out in the sun to dry. Then, wash.
Grass Stains Apply vinegar to the stain with a sponge, and lightly dab to lift. If the stain persists, make a paste of vinegar and baking soda, and brush it into the stain with an old toothbrush. Then, wash as usual.
Ink Stains Apply vinegar to the stain. Then, rub with a paste made of vinegar and baking soda. Let dry. Then, wash.
Blood Stains Fast action is the cure for bloodstains. Pour vinegar over the stain, and allow it to soak for fifteen minutes. Then, rinse with cool water, and repeat if necessary.
Set-In Stains Saturate the stain in vinegar. Then, rub with a paste made of vinegar and baking soda. If the stain persists, add a couple tablespoons each of vinegar and laundry detergent to a bucket of water, and soak over night. Rinse, and wash.
Pre schoolers usually don’t mind about their clothes being stained with Crayons, in removing crayon stains rub vinegar into the crayon stain with a brush (an old toothbrush works great). Then, toss in the wash.
Vomit Stains Rinse the garment in cool water to remove as much of the vomit as possible. Then, soak the stain in vinegar, and wash. If stain or odor persists, repeat the process.
Rust Pour vinegar over the rust stain. Then rub coarse salt into the stain (table salt will work if it's all you have). Place the garment out in the sun to dry. Then, wash.
Iron Scorch Marks Soak a rag in vinegar, and use it to dab at the scorched area. Then, blot the stain with a clean rag, and it should lift the stain. Note: It may take more than one application to fully remove the scorch mark.
I hope you learned something new today...Have a nice day!
When I have a travel schedule I make sure to make a list prior to that day. The things that I must bring with me during this travel should be listed. Of course when I travel I see to it that my luggage is not so heavy for my comfort.
The following things are a must have for me.
A cellphone
My cellphone...communication is very important for me. It connects us to people. I can be connected immediately to a person I want to talk to without the hassle of finding a phone booth. I can check the status of my loved ones every now and then-keep updated of their daily works and happenings. Without my cellphone i feel empty and alone.
Toothbrush
of course this is basic as part of our daily hygiene.
make up
to add a little glow on my face when going somewhere else. Things like facial cleanser, moisturizer, blush on, perhaps a mascara to highlight my eyelashes, pressed powder, I preferred light colored lipstick just to add color to my lips.
Sling bag
Because it is comfortable to roam around with it rather than a shoulder or a hand bag. I find it safer ,unlike handbags and shoulder bags where it can easily be snatched.
cash
Above all cash. You cannot move if you don't have it. I have to make sure I have cash enough for my traveling expenses and a little shopping for souvenirs and "pasalubong".
ID
My ID should be in my wallet, for emergency purposes in case something might happen.
To my fellow bloggers and friends and for all those who take time to visit and read my blogs, thank you so much... for those people who post comments on my articles, i appreciate it very much! again, thank you all. [Glitterfy.com - *Glitter Photos*]
Blogging is a favorite past time for others. When I started my blog it was just for fun. At first, I don't have any idea on what to write and how to start. I had a hard time generating codes, fortunately, I have my son who helped me regarding codes for my website. Slowly I learned it now.
Upon surfing the net, I became conscious that a large number of people are into blogging. In fact, there are many celebrities who blogs too and that heightened my interest to continue what i have started. In one of my social networking activity I happened to tweet with Ms. Demi Moore-by the way she's one of my favorite actress. Undeniably, Social networking in the cyberspace is fast and growing.
Before I have posted article about "How to start and manage your blog". I came across a a lot of articles about sites offering to monetize your blog(s)but be aware also for scams are present in the internet. There are legitimate companies and advertisers who paid bloggers for their articles, although blogging sometimes can be so tiresome but if you are determined there is really money in blogging.
My high school friend told me that she blogs too, she's been blogging for 2years now and she revealed to me that she bought her cellphone with cam from his blog earnings. hmmm sounds inspiring?...I did not hesitate to surf the sites she gave me, and just recently i found myself answering some of the offers and opportunities. Try it for yourself although i am just new to it but I can vouch for these sites, its not a scam. Try to visit and explore the following sites---blogvertise.com, buyblogreviews.com, sponsoredreviews.com, socialSparks and payperpost. you can register your blog in this site and if it is approve wait for any offer and opportunities.
I am pretty sure there are many more legitimate sites where bloggers can earn...When I come across those sites I will post it here. Happy blogging everyone!
Circumcision is part of our traditions. Summer is the right time for little kids to be circumcised because of long vacation-and the healing time usually takes 2 weeks. Just like my eldest son, my two little boys undergo the same process. They were circumcised this afternoon. My eldest son joined them in the room and witnessed the whole surgery process at Family life clinic here in the city. I just stayed outside waiting for them. I can see different reactions from kids as they waited for their turn...some are crying while others are excited.
The surgery process took only a few minutes. After, we headed back home immediately. On our way home i suddenly feel sad, I realized they're not my babies anymore as i used to call them. I should treat them with their age now as they are on their way to puberty, leaving behind a childhood life to a more challenging adolescent stage. Goodluck to my little gentlemen!
The women whom I admired most. Whose wisdom, Philosophy have greatly influence me the way I look at life.
A woman of compassion...
Mother Teresa was an AlbanianRoman Catholicnun with Indian citizenshipwho founded the Missionaries of charityin Kolkata (Calcutta), India in 1950. Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity continued to expand, and at the time of her death it was operating 610 missions in 123 countries, including hospices and homes for people with HIV/AIDS, leprosy and tuberculosis, soup kitchens, children's and family counseling programs, orphanages, and schools. Heart disease is the leading killer among men and women. A high LDL Cholesterol is a major factor for heart disese. If blood flow to part of your heart stops chances are you'll have a heart attack. If blood flow to part of your brain stops a stroke will occur. Trans fat or trans fatty acids plays a major role and is considered to be the worst source of bad cholesterol. Be aware of the food you eat especially in some restaurants for they uses trans fat, this is the part of the oil used to fry food. Usually commercial baked foods contains high trans fat. When buying food in grocery stores be sure to read the labels for you to know if it contains trans fat. If you can see the word "shortening" beware for it contains trans fat. What would you look for in a label is "fully" hydrogenated oil because it does not contains trans fat. Remember also that trans fat found in meat and dairy products is good than trans fat in processed food which seem to be more harmful.
Good thing to know now is that various companies are more concern of this-trans fat contains in food labels is lessen. According to the American Heart Association (AHA) it is recommended that 1% of your daily calories be trans fat. Don't think that a trans fat free food is perfect, remember that fat should be included in a healthy diet but there's a limit. It was also noted that in a heart healthy diet monounsaturated fat found in olive oil, peanut, and canola oils is a healthier option. Nuts, fish and other that contains unsaturated omega-3 fatty acids are other good choices. So take care of your heart, eat and follow a healthy heart diet before it's too late.
I have a friend who is interested in blogging but she doesn't know where and how to start. Based on my experience and the data that I have gathered through the web I came up with a few easy steps on how to create a blog.
First, find a place to begin a blog-there are free links to free blog networks like Blogger,Wordpress,Live Journal,Blog.com these are just a few of those. Instructions are provided all you have to do is to follow the steps given. After you have created your blog begin by writing articles that interests you, any topic will do as long as it adheres to the networks policies. Once you have established your blog and you already have published articles, one key factor for your blog to be noticed is to keep it active-you must have traffic from search engines like Yahoo or Google. Leave relevant comments on other blogs that links back to you.
Before I forget, take time to read the terms and conditions or the privacy policy of any network that you are joining. It is very important so that you will be aware of their policies, remember ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Any violations will cause disabling of your account.
I prefer writing on keyboard rather than on paper because I can edit easily my write-ups unlike in a paper where i will do a lot of erasures and corrections- it will take a lot of my time. Besides in using keyboard there are helpful features that help me in my editing like the dictionary, the margins, fonts, etc. Writing on keyboard is very comfortable for me, i don't have to rewrite again my article, i can publish as soon as i finished editing it.
A mothers love keeps her family together and her love lasts a lifetime. We mothers grow old too, and its nice to grow old gracefully isn't it? we need time for ourselves just like our children. As a mother, Set a good example by showing to your children a healthy way of taking care of yourself.. Find ways to grow-in such a way that it will not affect your family and always safeguard your marriage. Learn new things-for learning is a continous process it should not end in motherhood. CHEERS! Happy mother's day....
I travelled I hour and 20minutes before I reached my primary destination yesterday due to traffic, the normal travel time from our place to downtown area normally takes only 30 minutes. I got my EON atm card-at the bank where I applied almost four weeks ago, I claimed it late but anyway, at last I had it now.
After my bank transaction I headed immediately to a drugstore to buy medicines. I went through the usual process got my number and then lined up, waited for my number to flash on the screen for my turn-huh! so tiring and I almost lost my patience. When its my turn already, gosh!!!I feel so bad upon knowing that the medicines I intend to buy are not available...imagine the time that you spent waiting and then suddenly it was not available. I leave the place very diappointed. I looked for another drugstore and finally got what I want.
Before I went home i dropped by in a grocery store to buy some toiletress and a few canned goods. Sooo exhausted that I wanted to lay down when I saw the bench at the corner of the customer service area. I sat for a while and then suddenly regained my composure. I remembered I have not eaten my lunch...so, i decided to have a snack-a panwich with tuna filling and an orange juice(i missed the pic of juice) before doing my grocery shopping.
Suddenly I feel the call of nature so I rushed to the CR . On my way to the CR i passed by at the corner showing this information board its about smoking. I hope passers by take time to read this(oh, i'm sorry the text are not readable here, so sorry)caption says: Stop now or die young...it stated there the ill effects of smoking to your body. Inside the comfort room i took time to retouch my face-put some powder, added a little blush on so not to look pale. Time for my grocery...I've done it in less than an hour. It's an advantage if you are familiar with the place and the arrangements of the products.
Yehey!...everything has been done...time to go home, but, wait i did not forget to drop a few coins for my charities. I maybe tired today but somehow I made it meaningful too by sharing a little something of what I have...
**I am the "bunso" or the youngest among seven children.
**I love rugged style of dressing. Wearing rubber shoes and jeans.

**I also wanted to be a telephone operator, this is one of my dreams before-eventually became a shattered dream.
**Since I was young my interest for dancing is evident...that I am always a participant to every dance presentation during school's programs and activities. When I was in college my passion for dancing continue that gave me a scholarship for being a member of the school's official dance troupe.
**Fourth year college? I can't forget it. This the time I had chicken pox that leaves scars and visible marks on my face. Because of the scars it devastated me so much...I wanted also to become a flight stewardess but I guess those scars will be a minus factor.
**My first job was a secretary trainee and at the same time works as accounting clerk if my time permits.
**After 9months I resigned...I got pregnant and relocate to another place away from my family to be with my husband. It was terrible and very lonely at first, but time goes on-and I became used to it.

**I value things given to me, they are precious.

**My husband is very supportive ever since...in our union we encountered ups and downs and we have our shortcomings. Everything in married life can be fix and both of you will work things out. Communication is always open.

Every corner and streets are busy, I can see people roaming around. It's a typical scene for a fiesta in our place. Today we are celebrating the fiesta of our patron saint. I can hear people singing, there are bands playing at the nearby open court as part of the celebration. People are enjoying...This celebration happens only once a year. I did not invite visitors, but I cooked some food in case somebody or a group of my friends will come-at least I have something to offer.
I do have visitors in the afternoon my food are not wasted I have some unexpected visitors and I called some of my neighbors to have lunch with us. I thought the food that I prepared was not enough. But, I was wrong. There are still left overs and I decided to refrigerate it- it can still be eaten tomorrow or a few days more. I'l just pre heat it again and then ready to serve. It's already past ten pm now and I am still awake...I decided to check my blog, I wanted to do the stuff tomorrow but here I am blogging now-well, blogging sometimes unload me. Its a tiring day- Oh my...I forgot the plates...I have to wash the dishes and clean the kitchen-OMG what a night!!! well well well... bye for now.
When the rescue ship comes i'l tell somebody in the ship to take me home. To be stuck in an island even with a companion and plenty of food will not do me good. Its still scary. I don't know what well happen to me and my companion. I'd better go home and be with my friends and loved ones.
Thinking of what will be life like without a job after how many years in government service, has left me anxious about my future. But I now found myself into a lot of activities that I never had done and never had enough time before- the things that I have missed when I was working before away far from home in another place. I have life's greatest treasure-- four boys in my life-- my three kids, whom I actually regard them now as little gentlemen and my wonderful husband who's so supportive. Just their mere presence makes my life simply fulfilling and rewarding... and of course sharing some thoughts and insights by interacting through the inetrnet- makes my life more exciting.
